Metal Roofing Systems

We install a wide variety of metal roofing, ranging from exposed fastener corrugated metal to hidden fastener standing seam. Our most popular choice of metal roof systems is standing seam. We offer a range of colors, gauges, and profile options.

Why should you chose metal roofing ?

Longer life span

Metal roofs can last 2-3 times longer than tradition asphalt shingle.

Reduced enegry costs

Metal roofs release heat quicker than shingles. Homeowners can save up to 40% on engery costs.

Extreme weather resitant

Metal roof easily outperform shingle during severe weather. Withstanding higher wind speeds and debris impact.

Eco-Friendly 100% recyclable

When we remove metal roofs. your old roofing panels are sent to the scrap yard for recyling.

Benefits of standing seam

  • Zero exposed fasteners. Unlike Rib metal panels that rely on hundreds of rubber washers that will need to be changed approximately every 10 years. Standing seam has no exposed screws.

  • Higher ROI. Standing seam saves you money in the long run. With rising costs on materials due to inflation, replacing your roof with shingle every 10-15 years become more costly than metal roofing.

  • 50 year life expectancy. Standing seam is known to last significantly longer than shingle with a lot less maintenance.

  • Energy efficient. Due to metal roofs low thermal mass, they don't hold and store heat like shingle.

  • 100% Recyclable.  Metal roofs are eco friendly. Any metal roof we remove, goes straight to the scrap yard!

  • Insurance savings. It's a fact! metal roofs outperform shingle roofs during hurricanes. Replacing your roof with a more durable system can potentially lower your insurance premium.

  • Resale Value Homeowners who renovate their home with metal roofing are typically able to recoup an extremely high rate of the roof’s cost, 85.9% according to national averages and  6% resale value gain over homes roofed with asphalt.

Is standing seam more expensive than shingle?

Standing seam roofing is undoubtedly far more cost-effective in the long run. Depending on the location and panel profile, standing seam roofs can outlast shingle roofs by three times their lifetime. Despite the 30-year warranties claimed by shingle manufacturers and the seemingly unrealistic 50-year workmanship warranties pitched by some contractors, a standard dimensional "30-year" shingle will only last about 10-14 years in Florida's weather. Moreover, due to the escalating cost of inflation, you will end up paying 50% or more for the same roof in 14 years. The cost per square increased by a substantial 55% from 2017 to 2024 in materials, labor, landfill, and even permitting to replace a roof. So, it's crucial to consider how much your next roof will cost in the near future and how much you will pay for repairs to extend the life of your shingle roof for a few more years.   In summary, while the upfront cost of standing seam may be higher, in 30 years, you'll find yourself paying significantly less compared to a shingle roof with a decent life still left.

Why hire a contractor who specializes in metal roofing?

When choosing a contractor for your installation, price is a crucial factor. You want to ensure you get your money's worth for such a significant investment. A metal roof is only worth its investment if it will outlast a shingle roof. It's essential to select a contractor with hands-on experience in the roofing systems they offer, rather than a contractor who relies solely on their installer's knowledge. You need a contractor that can guarantee you a solid installation with proven techniques on the most problematic roof curbs and details.

In addition, in order to have a long lasting roof, preparation to the substrate is key. If your roof is sagging at the gables, has dips in the middle, visible addition tie-ins, or irregular designs, these issues will need to be corrected first.

When you schedlue a roof estimate with us, we will conduct a walk through. If you roof has certain things that will need to be done for a corect installation, we will inform you about it.

Our objective is not only to provide a system than will shed water effectively but will be pleasing to the eye as well. The right contractor for you is one that can inform you on these issues and has the solutions to address them in a cost effective manner.

Standing Seam Profiles

Our Snap-Lock profile design features

  • 1-inch high snap-lock style
  • 1.5- inch high snap-lock style

Both panels have nail strip slots positioned at 5-3/4 inches, which are fastened with a 1-inch pancake screw at each slot.

Gauge (thickness).

  • The weight of 24 gauge metal is approximately 30% greater than that of 26 gauge. 24 gauge is commonly used in northern states and can support heavier loads. While there is no standard, 24 gauge is known for its longer lifespan, ability to withstand harsh climates, higher resistance to uplift, better impact rating, and suitability for longer installations. Typically, 24 gauge costs around 30% more than 26 gauge in Mill Finish and about 50% more in a painted panel, as it is only available with Kynar/PVDF paint.

  • 26-gauge metal is available in both SMP and Kynar/PVDF finishes. It is more commonly used in Florida residential construction due to the absence of snow and infrequent hail storms. 26-gauge metal is more cost-effective, yet still offers excellent wind resistance.

Panel Finish

  • SMP paint finishes are the best option for lighter colors as they effectively minimize the visibility of fading over time.

  • Kynar/PVDF is known to be more effective against fading and is recommended when choosing a darker color..

  • Mill Finish is an "unpainted" panel that gradually develops a rustic tint or patina. It comes coated and will not rust prematurely.

Labor Warranty

We offer a 15 year labor warranty on all of our standing seam metal roof installations.

Contracting Process

After you have accepted a roof estimate and chosen a color for your roof, we will email you a detailed contract to be signed and a Notice of Commencement (NOC) form to be notarized.

What is an NOC form?

The NOC form is an important document that registers Florida’s construction industry, serving as a legal notice that indicates the start of a construction project, improvements, or alterations to real property.

Once we receive all the paperwork, we will apply for a roof permit with your county and schedule a date to start work on your roof.  On the day of commencement;

  • we will typically drop off the dump trailer one day before we start working on your roof.
  • Our in house crew will arrive between 7-8am to commence work. Any vehicles on your driveway will have to be parked in another location, as we will take up most of the driveway during the roof removal process.
  • Once the roof is removed and dried in, an inspection is scheduled. Once passed, our installers will proceed to installing your new roof.
  • Upon completion, a final inspection is scheduled, and once approved and signed off, some counties will issue a certificate of completion.

Payment Process

We only require a deposit for metal roof installation once the job starts. It's not recommended to pay a contractor a large deposit upfront before starting a project, as this can be a red flag. After your existing roof has been removed and dried in, we request a deposit of 40-60%, depending on the size of the project. Once the roof has been completed, we ask for 20% of the remaining balance, with the rest due after all roof inspections have been completed and the permit has been closed.

Licensing

We have all the necessary state-required insurance coverages for general liability and workers' comp. We also possess a state-certified roofing contractor license and invest in better equipment to ensure a safer work environment.

Hiring an unlicensed roofer might seem like a tempting idea, but it's never a good one. Not only is it illegal, but if the roofer falls and gets injured, you'll be responsible for covering all of their medical expenses. Additionally, you'll end up paying for a roof that comes with no warranty. Any roof can look good from the ground. It may seem perfectly installed until it's put to the test with a storm. It will be unlikely for an unlicensed contractor to show up after water intrusion damages occur during a storm and honor their warranty, yet pay for the damages.
